Following the tragic death of Keith Flint last week, hundreds and thousands of people have spoken up in tribute to the man who helped to cultivate the 90s rave scene, as well as music tastes across the world. His bandmates described him as a ‘true pioneer, innovator and legend.’
Now the London venue ‘The Cause’ is set to host a charity rave in commemoration of Flint, with 100% of the profits donated mental health charities ‘Mind in Haringey’ and ‘CALM’.
The lineup for ‘Music For The Jilted Generation’ includes Nebula 2, Nookie and Slipmatt, all of which shared lineups with the Prodigy way back when. With a sold out late-night show, they have announced an additional daytime event on the same day, 16 th March.
Flint was only 49 years old when his passed – his death has continued to highlight the importance of mental health within the music industry. The Prodigy was set to headline festivals such as Glastonbury and South West Four; the band cancelled any future gigs.
Take a look at one of their earliest shows in 1992 from ‘The Book of Love’, an event held at the renowned venue Amnesia…
Rest in peace Keith.
