RAM Records have entered the New Year with an almighty start – with Andy C’s XOYO residency kicking off from January, his label continues to excite fans across the genre with hard-hitting releases across the board.
Culture Shock shared his latest track at the end of January, ‘Take Control’, that demonstrates his ability to merge euphoric liquid undertones with harsher, harder D&B sounds. As per, it has received widespread praise from fans across multiple D&B subgenres.
Original Sin’s ‘Inertia’ follows a similar pattern, luring listeners in with a soft 80s synth inspired introduction before dropping into a heavy darkstep beat – pleasing both liquid and heavier fans alike.
Today sees the release of the anticipated Delta Heavy track ‘Take Me Home’. Featuring smooth vocals from Jem Cooke, we are treated to punchy and uplifting drops. After announcing their 2nd album ‘Only In Dreams’ we are very excited to see what else they have to offer after such a preview from ‘Take Me Home’.
Finally Need For Mirrors has come out with his EP ‘Royal Blood’. Fans of ‘dark rollers’ have shown love for this one with its prolonged build up and foghorn heavy drop.
If that wasn’t enough, RAM recently announced their new project RAMLive: a monthly showcase streamed live on Facebook and YouTube from XOYO’s Green Room. The stream will predominately boast a variety of talent from DJs who don’t produce, to give them a platform and to focus on ‘art of DJing’, their website says. The show will also cover live events and producer sessions as well. Catch RAMLive at the start of each month on their YouTube or Facebook channels.
We’re massively looking forward to RAM hosting the Big Top on Sunday, Eastern Electrics 2019.
